HR Workshop

Description:

Lean and Six Sigma involve culture change within the business and with that comes a change in organizational structure: job descriptions, accountability, reward and recognition. This Workshop lays the organizational groundwork to support the Lean and Six Sigma Program.

Organizational change is a key part in any deployment. The Human Resource function is led through mechanisms to ensure there are clear roles and responsibilities defined, as well as reward and recognition for all involved. A key decision is whether to use resources part or full time as Belts. The Client must address the pros and cons of each with the intent of setting a precedent moving forward. If full-time Belts are chosen a Succession Plan must be invoked and the Belts should have a clear future Career Plan. Belts are typically certified after the completion of one or two projects. Appropriate remuneration and organizational reward should be considered and standards set well in advance of the situation arising.
